Civil Rights March with Congressman John Lewis!

Congressman John Lewis is coming to Durham! He will lead a march, Durham Marches Together, from the main branch of the Durham Public Library to the new Civil Rights Mural on Parrish Street, starting at 9:00 am on Saturday, October 4th. We will register voters along the parade route.  Please wear your You Can Vote tee-shirt, if you have one. Let's have a sea of orange! Meet up at the People's Alliance/Democracy NC office at 8:45 to get your clipboard and materials and we'll head over to the Library.

Congressman Lewis's visit is part of a kickoff for his graphic novel, 'March: Book One.' His visit is presented by Durham Public Library as part of Durham Reads Together. See for a full description of events with Congressman Lewis on October 4th and 5th, and on October 26th.
