YCV’s 2024 Fall Voting Checklist!

YCV’s 2024 Fall Voting Checklist!

August 30, 2024 · By Amy Campbell Bogie

It’s almost time to #Vote2024! Our Fall Voting Checklist is designed to make sure you, your family, and your community are ready to cast your ballots and make your voices heard.

1. Check your registration

Check Your Registration!

Are you registered at your current address? Visit the State Board of Elections Voter Search Tool to make sure your registration is active and reflects current, accurate information.

Get Registered!

Need to make a change to your NC voter registration, such as updating your name or address? Or need to register for the first time? The deadline to register to vote in 2024 is October 11. Same-day registration will also be available during early voting in NC. Visit our Register page to learn more and get registered today!

Share Voter Info!

Download YCV’s FREE Voter Education Toolkits and share trustworthy, accurate information with the voters in your life. Toolkits include free social media graphics, pre-written post content, sample emails, printable flyers, and more! Visit our Voting Rights Champions page to download now.

Become a Poll Worker!

North Carolina needs tech-savvy and reliable workers to staff our elections. To work as an election official, you must be a registered voter who resides in the county where you wish to serve. Please visit Become an Election Official on the State Board of Elections website to sign up today!

5. Get Out the Vote!

Become a YCV Volunteer & Help Get Out the Vote!

Volunteer with YCV at an upcoming voter education event or on one of our remote phone banks to help get out the vote! Make sure all NC voters know when, where, how, and why to cast their ballots this November. Visit youcanvote.org/volunteer to learn more.

You Can Vote is a nonpartisan 501(c)(3) nonprofit that educates and mobilizes North Carolinians to take civic action, know their rights, and successfully cast a ballot in each election.

Need to Repair Your Registration?

A small number of voters are being asked by the N.C. State Board of Elections (NCSBE) to repair their registrations by providing their N.C. driver’s license/DMV ID number OR the last four digits of their Social Security number. They have launched a new search tool to find out if you are on the list and need to take action.

Repairing your registration will ensure that you can vote a regular ballot rather than a provisional ballot during upcoming elections. Click below to access the search tool and learn more from the NCSBE.
