Election Day
The second-best way to vote in North Carolina! Must already be registered to vote. Vote only at your assigned polling place. Polls open 6:30 AM to 7:30 PM.
Vote by mail
Any NC registered voter may request and receive a mail-in absentee ballot — no reason needed.
Voter ID
All registered voters in North Carolina can vote with or without photo ID. If you have ID, bring it with you to vote. If you don’t, ask for a Phot ID Exceptions Form.
